dTOUCH represents a step forward in control systems for drying ovens, as it consists in the union between an advanced and flexible traditional control system with the knowledge of experts at international level in the field of wood drying.


dTOUCH is in fact developed in collaboration with IVALSA (Institute for the Enhancement of Wood and Arboreal Species), the Italian institute part of the CNR (National Research Council) which also includes a specific research and experimentation laboratory for drying wood .

In addition to having all the functions already present in DELPHI more numerous others, the dTOUCH system includes a vast library of basic programs for over 400 wood species, also including special cycles to maintain or alter the natural coloring of the wood, for rapid processes, etc. .


dTOUCH uses this database, together with the information received from the sensors and that provided by the user (e.g. required quality, time / quality priority, special needs, etc.) to create the most suitable program for drying from time to time better the product according to user requests ...

... because a large library of programs is not enough: different are the possible needs and different must be the programs to satisfy them.


dTOUCH is able to automatically recognize possible critical issues in the process (e.g. frozen timber, encrusted timber etc.) and to automatically integrate the drying cycle with the most suitable solutions.


Thanks to dTOUCH, creating a personalized program no longer requires the study of drying methods and manual modification of the regulation parameters (temperature, humidity, time, phases, etc,); simply "explain" to the system what you intend to achieve by answering a few simple questions, and the system will create the most suitable cycle for you.

an evolving system

dTOUCH is a control system with great potential, which are now in the first phase of development, and which will be further integrated in the near future, thanks to cooperation with IVALSA and experimentation on pilot plants.

By taking advantage of the automatic update function (if connected to a PC with the XYLON supervision system) your dTOUCH will be able to take advantage, free of charge and without any difficulty, of the continuous improvements and additional functions that will be developed on this product.


In addition to the advanced features it already has, further advanced features such as:

Evaluation of the cycle This function, particularly useful in the case of repeated drying on material with homogeneous characteristics (by species, thickness and initial conditions), will allow you to optimize the drying programs based on your system and your needs.

At the end of the drying cycle, it will be possible to express an evaluation on the drying cycle just ended; your dTOUCH expert will use the information received to modify the cycle used and record the changes for future use.


Problem solver
A special function will allow the user to express any concerns to the system regarding the cycle in progress (e.g. too long times, onset of defects, etc.) by means of a simple guided procedure, at the end of which the system will take the most appropriate measures, updating automatically the current program.

the friendly expert

A great effort has been made to take care of the ease of use of dTOUCH, which can count on a really friendly user interface, based on a color LCD display and touch screen.

Wherever possible, the available functions are identifiable by icons, while the menus are available in numerous languages.

All selectable functions are highlighted by buttons or blue.

With dTOUCH, a touch of the screen is enough to switch from the most complete automatic drying mode to semi-automatic mode, without the need for any programming.

The flexible solution

Being based on the LogicaH & S "Kiln-Bus" protocol, dTOUCH is compatible with all the latest series of sensors and actuators produced by LogicaH & S.


The number of probes and their type can be varied as desired to satisfy any control requirement, including also the use of non-conventional sensors or special functions such as sterilization of timber according to ISPM15 regulation.

Configuration based on the LG35 amplifier to be installed inside the kiln, particularly suitable for drying cycles up to 80 ° C

C002402 Controller mod dTOUCH - wireless (2T, 2EMC, 2 Receivers)

Configuration includes:

  • dTOUCH control panel

  • LG39 relay output unit

  • dual LG34 wireless receiver

  • 2 x wireless digital EMC box (to be installed inside the kiln, each with 1 temperature probe and 1 digital EMC).


Configuration based on a wireless sensor system to be installed inside the kiln, particularly suitable for drying cycles up to 100 ° C and where it is preferred not to use connection cables for the probes.


The configuration is suitable for the management of medium-sized ovens and does NOT include wood humidity / temperature sensors, which must be purchased separately in the desired quantity (min. 1, max 32). These sensors allow simultaneous measurement on the surface and in depth and are available both in the version with internal temperature sensor and with external probe for heart-wood measurement.

Each sensor is supplied complete with assorted electrodes in 3 lengths.

All the above examples use LG39 as a relay output unit, able to proportionally control (through impulses) shutters, heating valve and sprayers, as well as to manage the fans with inversion of the direction of rotation and speed variation (via analogue output).
